Overview
This quick start guide shows you how to easily create, configure, and navigate your Bobsled account.

Step 1: Log in to Bobsled
Using your credentials, log in to your Bobsled environment, depending on your role, what you can see and do may be slightly different.
Step 2: Set up a data source
From the left sidebar, choose data sources
Click the button add source.
Follow the setup wizard, and once you’re done, click Save. Once a successful connection is established, Bobsled will start indexing your data source. Learn more about data sources
TIP:
Setting up sources in Bobsled may require special permissions or provisioning. Make sure you confirm which prerequisites are required when setting up your data source.
Step 3: Create a share
From the left sidebar, select shares
Click the create share button. For more in-depth information, visit the Create and manage a share guide
Step 4: Enter share name and description (optional)
Hover the title, and click on the pencil icon
Add a name to your share that will help you remember it later. You can also add a description to your share for internal purposes
Click save
Step 5: Choose data source
Click on Pick source
Select your source from the dropdown the list of available items
Click Save.
Step 6: Choose destination and add access methods
Click on Pick destination
Choose your preferred destination, cloud platform if applicable, and region, and follow the setup wizard. Depending on the destination type, you can add access methods later, learn more about destinations supported by Bobsled
Click on Finish
NOTE:
Data gets transferred to Bobsled-managed destinations with or without access methods. Granting access to the destination grants your consumers access.
Step 7: Add consumer organization (optional)
Click on add consumer organization and add or create a new Consumer organization
Click on Done. These count as an identifier for the consumer of your data and are used for billing purposes
NOTE:
If you have Multi-tenant Filtering enabled for your account, Consumer organizations are required.
Step 8: Transfer data
Once your source and destination are set, click on create transfer
Select which data you want to transfer and click continue. Follow the wizard steps, if applicable—Bobsled is designed to cater for different sources and destinations types, so what you see may vary based on the source–destination combo
Click on continue, review your transfer and sync options, and click start transfer
Step 9: Monitor transfer data
Bobsled will let you know when the transfer is complete and its status. In the process, you can check the logs tab to learn more about which steps of the transfer your data is in
Once your first transfer is complete, click on access data
Follow the instructions on how to reach the data, that you can share with your consumers

Step 10: Share more data
Increase the reach of your data! Create new shares, enabling data to be delivered where your consumers need it
