    Golden Copy Storage

    Data is stored in Iceberg ↗ format in Cloudflare R2 ↗ for efficient storage and data access.

    Filter rows and select columns through a built-in SQL editor (with an AI assist for SQL generation).

    Public Preview known limitations and upcoming improvements

    • Scale: We recommend initially testing datasets under 5 TB. Work closely with our team to confirm your Sledhouse environment is scaled appropriately to your data scale.

    • Deleting & Lifecycle: Full lifecycle features (e.g., sledhouse table deletes) are still under active development.

    • Enhanced Metadata: Better column descriptions, data catalogs, and discoverability features will be added soon.

    • Observability & Telemetry: Insights into Sledhouse usage are coming soon.

    • Materialization in destination: Currently Sledhouse tables are only available in External R2 Iceberg tables, we are actively working on giving the option to materialize them in local regions as native tables.

    • Fine-grained permissions:

      • Support for fine-grained permissions (e.g., restricting certain teams to specific data sources or certain columns) will continue to expand in future updates.

      • Tag-based restrictions are also planned, allowing you to lock down certain fields or tables behind specific role-based tags.
