Consuming a data transfer in Amazon Redshift

This article will describe how to consume a Bobsled data transfer in Amazon Redshift.

Prerequisites

A data transfer must be sent to the destination and access must be configured in Bobsled for the identity that is consuming the data.

Consuming the data transfer

1. Navigate to the Amazon Redshift page in the AWS Console.

2. Expand the Left Hand Pane menu by clicking the three line icon in the top left your console.

3. Select Datashares and click on the share that you would like to access.

4. Once a data transfer in the share has been completed, select the button Access Data.

5. Access data will provide a SQL statement to use to create a database from the share in Redshift.
